Food Security & Malnutrition - Global

According to Save The Children there are 426 children at risk of death every day in Sub-Saharan Africa due to hunger following the global impact of Covid-19. This means there are roughly 67,000 children at risk of dying from extreme hunger alone in 2022. By 2030, it is predicted that an estimated 433 million people will be undernourished across Africa.

These numbers are staggering and heart wrenching. 4-Good International has the desire to play a role in fighting malnourishment and hunger throughout Sub-Saharan Africa. This battle will not be won alone, but we are confident we can play a role with the right relationships, strategic partnerships, and appropriate initiatives in the communities that we are called to serve.

At 4-Good International we believe there are two primary roles that we can play in fighting malnourishment and food security in Sub-Saharan Africa. Our first response is to fill into the gap where the situation has become dire. Whether that is due to a global catastrophe or simply a personal life saving emergency where death and suffering are imminent without proper care. Once we have met the immediate need, we then begin to think about the long-term impact of our presence in each community we work. 4-Good International will look to partner with organizations that specialize in agricultural practices for the benefit of increased food security. From there we will help to develop strategic initiatives and contributions to the communities we serve to put those practices in place for the benefit of generations to come. Issues with food security and malnourishment run deep and are complex, but we believe by focusing on the needs that are brought before us we can make an impact and provide greater food for future generations.
