With a resume that ranges from playing professional basketball to coaching professional basketball, entrepreneurship and logistics, I oversee and manage projects, as well as staying connected to nonprofit organizations that provide opportunities for today’s youth. I am dedicated to working with ethical companies and underrepresented voices.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science and then my Master’s Degree in Health and Human Performance with an emphasis on Physical Education from Pittsburg State University, where I graduated Magna Cum Laude, after my 12 year professional basketball career and 3 years as a professional Head Coach.
During my tenure as a professional basketball player, I played in 5 different countries, Finland, Latvia, Switzerland, Holland and Romania. I was awarded two league MVP’s, two time import player of the year, and I was selected to 8 All Star Teams. as well as being an 8 time scoring champion.
The dedication and passion I put into the sport of basketball did not die once I retired. I have continued to pass on my knowledge and expertise by coaching annually in the Swiss All Star Basketball Camp in Switzerland, which fueled my ambition to return to school and acquire
additional knowledge which would better prepare me to assist America’s youth.
I am the founder of DC Sports International, LLC, a non profit organization that is designed to provide opportunities for today’s youth to be taught by professional European and NBA coaches, as well as to learn about and respect different international cultures.
I am a family man who was born in Detroit, Michigan but was raised on military bases all over the world. Of course I love the game of basketball, but I also love other sports such as football and soccer. I love to travel and experience different cultures which has taught me how to respect other people and their way of life and circumstances. This is why I created DC Sports International, because I believe it will be beneficial to today’s youth and to show that even though there are perceived differences, in many ways we are all the same.
